Questions about driving with Zoomy
Short answers to the things people ask before and after they apply. Each one links to the fuller page when there is more to read.
Zoomy Driver shows the current information for your application or assigned work. The answers here explain how things work; anything that depends on you, your area or your work is in the app. Zoomy doesn’t guarantee work, hours or earnings.
Applying
How do I apply to drive with Zoomy?
Your application starts in Zoomy Driver. The app asks about your area, the types of work you are interested in and what you drive, then shows the current requirements for each type of work you chose.
Can I apply for more than one type of work?
Yes. You choose the types of work you want, and Zoomy reviews each one separately. Some types of work may be approved before others.
How long does it take?
It depends on what the work you applied for asks for and how much of it is already done. Zoomy Driver shows what is outstanding and where your application currently stands.
Can I finish my application later?
Zoomy Driver shows what is still needed for your application when you open it. If there is something to continue, the app is where you continue it.
Requirements
What do I need to drive with Zoomy?
Requirements can vary by area, role and type of work, and they can change. Zoomy Driver shows the current requirements for the work you apply for.
Is there a single Zoomy-approved status?
No. Approval is scoped to the types of work you applied for, so there is no one state that covers everything. Being approved for one type of work does not make you eligible for every opportunity.
Does being approved mean I can start right away?
Approval for a type of work, being ready to go online and being set up for payouts are separate things. Zoomy Driver shows what is done and what is still outstanding.
Can requirements change after I am approved?
Requirements can change, and some things have a date on them. If something needs renewing, it affects the types of work that depend on it rather than everything you do with Zoomy.
Identity and screening
Why does Zoomy ask me to confirm my identity?
Confirming who you are is part of applying, and some types of work also ask for screening or checks. Zoomy Driver shows what is being asked for and what is still outstanding.
Does everyone go through the same checks?
No. What is asked for depends on the area and the type of work, and screening applies only where it is required. Zoomy Driver shows the current requirements for the work you applied for.
I have sent everything in. Is that the same as being checked?
Sending something in and it being reviewed are different steps. Zoomy Driver shows the current state of each thing you have provided.
Vehicle, equipment and Skills
Does adding my vehicle, equipment or a Skill approve me for work?
No. They are things you tell Zoomy Driver about. The app checks them against the current requirements for the types of work you apply for, and Zoomy reviews those separately.
What is the difference between a Skill and training?
A Skill is what you know or can demonstrate. Training is something a specific type of work may ask you to complete. A Skill you add may need training, evidence or review before it counts toward a type of work.
Which documents does my vehicle need?
A vehicle name does not tell you which documents apply to it. Zoomy Driver shows the current vehicle, equipment and document requirements for the work you apply for.
Locations
Where can I drive with Zoomy?
Zoomy Driver confirms the area you want to work in when you apply. Both the work available and the requirements for it differ by area.
Can I work in a different area later?
Zoomy Driver shows the current areas and application options available to you, along with the requirements that apply when you choose another area. It is not the same question as the type of work you are approved for.
Opportunities and requests
How does work reach me?
Zoomy Driver can show opportunities you may be eligible to request. You review the current role, pay and details, request the role you want, and the app shows whether it becomes assigned work.
Is a request the same as assigned work?
No. Requesting a role is you asking for it. A pending request is not a held spot unless Zoomy Driver says so, and the app shows whether a request becomes assigned work.
Do I know the role and the pay before I request it?
Zoomy Driver shows the current pay for the role before you request it, together with the details available at that point.
What if the role, pay or schedule changes?
Material changes to role, pay, schedule or important scope may need a fresh decision from you. Zoomy Driver shows the current details when that happens.
When do I see the address and contact details?
Private Customer, location and contact details appear in Zoomy Driver only when they are needed for the current stage of assigned work. Requesting a role does not reveal them.
Work lifecycle
Where do I see work that has been assigned to me?
Assigned work appears in Zoomy Driver. When it is time to begin, the app guides you through the current travel, arrival and work steps.
Does arriving mean the work has started?
No. Being assigned work, being ready to start, travelling, arriving and starting the work are separate moments. Zoomy Driver shows which step you are on.
Is a photo I take accepted as proof?
Proof requirements vary, and a captured photo is not automatically accepted proof. Zoomy Driver shows what the work you are doing asks for.
What if I have no signal while I am working?
Something captured offline may still need to sync and be checked before it counts. Zoomy Driver shows the current state of what you have captured.
I have finished the work. Is that the end of it?
Completing work is separate from earnings becoming available and from a payout being sent. Zoomy Driver shows the current status of each.
Earnings and payouts
When do I get paid?
Zoomy Driver shows the current earnings and payout status. Some amounts may be pending or held before they become available, and available is not the same as a payout having been sent.
Some of my earnings are held. Have I done something wrong?
A hold does not mean the Driver is at fault. Zoomy Driver shows the current status of each amount and the support options for your situation.
Can I transfer my earnings straight away?
Transfer options, any fee and any timing appear in Zoomy Driver when the app actually offers them for your account. This page does not set a payout speed or a fee.
What is the difference between earned and available?
Earned means an earning has been recorded for completed work. Available means that recorded amount is currently available under the payout options shown in Zoomy Driver. The app also keeps pending, held, payout in progress and paid separate.
Support and safety
Something has changed or feels unsafe. What do I do?
If something changes, feels unsafe, or prevents the work from continuing, Zoomy Driver provides the current support and safety options for that situation.
Where do I get support?
Zoomy Driver shows the current support routes available for your situation. This page does not publish private contact details or promise a specific support channel.
Zoomy Driver app
Do I need the Zoomy Driver app?
Yes. You apply, review opportunities, manage assigned work and track your Driver journey in Zoomy Driver. The site explains how it works; the app holds the current information for your application and assigned work.
I have the app. Does that mean I have applied?
No. Getting the app and starting an application are separate. Zoomy Driver shows what your application still needs.
I got a notification. Is that the final word?
An alert is a prompt to look, not the record. The messages and updates inside Zoomy Driver are what to go by.
Did not find your question?
If it is about your own application or your own work, Zoomy Driver has the current information and the support options for your situation. If it is about how something works, the fuller pages go into more detail.
