How the work actually goes

From seeing an opportunity to finishing the work

Zoomy Driver can show opportunities you may be eligible to request. You review the current role, pay and details, request the role you want, and the app shows whether it becomes assigned work. From there the app guides the travel, arrival and work steps, the proof that is required, and completion.

This page explains the sequence. Requesting a role is not the same as being assigned it. Zoomy Driver is where you apply and where opportunities, requests, assigned work, proof and earnings status are managed; the service work itself happens in the real world. Zoomy doesn’t guarantee work, hours or earnings.

Ten moments, in the order you live them

Each one is a separate moment. Five of them are the ones people expect to run together, and they do not.

  1. You see an opportunity

Zoomy Driver can show opportunities you may be eligible to request.

  2. You review the current role, pay and details

Zoomy Driver shows the current pay for the role before you request it.

  3. You request the role you want (one of the moments worth reading twice)

Requesting a role is not the same as being assigned it. It tells Zoomy which work you want.

  4. You wait for the outcome (one of the moments worth reading twice)

A request may still be matching, become assigned work, not match, be filled, or expire or otherwise become unavailable. Zoomy Driver shows the current status of each request.

  5. You prepare for assigned work

Separate readiness steps or changes can remain after work is assigned. The app shows what is still needed.

  6. You travel when the app says it is time

Being assigned work is not the same as starting travel. The details you need appear when you need them.

  7. You arrive (one of the moments worth reading twice)

Arriving does not start the service work. The app shows what begins it.

  8. You do the work

Zoomy Driver guides the current work phase, the stops involved and any changes along the way.

  9. You provide the required proof (one of the moments worth reading twice)

Capturing evidence is not the same as it being accepted. Proof requirements vary by work.

  10. The work is complete

Completion is separate from earnings becoming available or a payout being sent. Zoomy Driver shows the current earnings and payout status.

The moments in orange are the ones worth reading twice. Each has its own section below.

Requesting a role, and being assigned work

These are two different things, and the gap between them is where most questions come from.

Your request

You tell Zoomy which role you want

You review the current role, pay and details, then request it in the app.

Assigned work

Work that is yours to do

Assigned work appears in Zoomy Driver. That is the point at which there is work to prepare for.

A request waiting for an outcome is not a held spot unless Zoomy Driver says so. The app shows the current status of each request.

What can happen to a request

  • It is still matching
  • It becomes assigned work
  • It does not match
  • The work is filled
  • It expires, or is otherwise unavailable

If something important changes

Work can change after you have requested it, and sometimes after it has been assigned.

A change may need a fresh decision

If role, pay, schedule or important scope changes, Zoomy Driver makes the change clear and may ask you to decide again.

The change is shown to you

Zoomy Driver shows what changed and what it means for the work.

The decision stays yours

Where a change needs a fresh decision, the app asks you for it rather than assuming it.

If something changes, feels unsafe, or prevents the work from continuing, Zoomy Driver provides the current support and safety options for that situation.

You see the details when you need them

Private details belong to the stage of the work that needs them, so the app releases them as you go rather than all at once.

Before you request
Enough to decideThe current role, pay and the details of the work itself.
Assigned work
Enough to prepareWhat the work involves, and any readiness steps still outstanding.
When it is time
Enough to do the workThe private details for the current stage appear in Zoomy Driver when that stage needs them.

Requesting a role does not reveal an exact address or a Customer’s contact details.

Travelling, arriving and starting the work

Three moments in a row, each with its own step in the app.

  1. TravelWhen the app says it is timeHaving assigned work does not mean travel has started.
  2. ArrivalYou are thereArriving is its own step, and it does not start the service work.
  3. The workThe service work itselfZoomy Driver guides the current work phase, the stops and any changes.

When it is time to begin, the app guides you through the current travel, arrival and work steps.

Proof, completion and getting paid

The end of a job has three separate parts, and they do not all happen at the same moment.

Proof
You provide what the work requiresProof requirements vary. Capturing a photo or other evidence is not the same as it being accepted, and Zoomy Driver shows what is still outstanding.
Completion
The work is finishedCompletion is about the work. It is separate from money being available to you.
Earnings
Shown in the app, with its current statusZoomy Driver shows the current earnings and payout status. Some amounts may be pending or held before they become available.

Finishing the work does not by itself mean the money is available. The app shows which stage each amount is at.

If you are somewhere with no signal

If the app is offline, some evidence or actions may wait to sync and confirm. The app shows what is still pending.
